Create What Lasts

Create What Lasts

Notes on building things that continue creating value.

I have been thinking about what actually lasts.

We spend much of our lives dealing with what is immediately in front of us. Work. Money. Family. Health. Problems that need to be solved. Things that need our attention.

Most of it feels important while it is happening.

But over time I became interested in a different question:

What is worth building because it continues creating value long after the initial effort?

I started noticing that this question appears almost everywhere.

In how we use our time. In what we do with money. In how we raise children and build relationships. In our health, our work, and even in what we choose to learn.

Some things require our attention again and again and leave very little behind.

Other things continue giving long after the original effort is over.

I want to understand the difference.

Create What Lasts is where I write down what I discover.

Not everything needs to become bigger.

Not everything needs to become faster.

Some things simply need to become better.

And last.
